We are the Friends of the Los Gatos Library
A Message from President Carol Hamilton
Watching the construction of our new library, I am reminded of how far we have come due to the efforts of the Friends volunteers. As a group, the Friends of Los Gatos Library have provided organizational and financial support to the new library right from the start. From the donors of significant monetary gifts, to members of the Friends board of directors who have each made a financial pledge, to the unknown library users who donate a paperback or two for us to sell, many, many people are making it possible for the Friends to raise the $2.1 million we are committed to contributing for furnishings and fixtures in the new building.
As I write this, we have already achieved 60 percent of that $2.1 million goal! We are so grateful to those who have helped achieve that milestone, and are pleased to open up the opportunity for the community as a whole to be part of this exciting "Once in a Generation" project. Now is the time for each Los Gatan to get involved in creating a library we can all be proud of, one that will be a legacy for generations to come.
